Triton has an impressive lineup of sanding options for woodworkers to choose from. That line is expanding with a pair of Triton orbital sheet sander models that have features going beyond the basics.

First of all, it’s a big deal that Triton even has orbital sheet sanders since it’s a new product class for the brand. There are two different models to choose from. The 240W 1/3 sheet sander (3.5 x 7.2 inches) offers no-load speeds up to 8,000 RPM. On the smaller side, the 200W 1/4 sheet sander (3.9 x 4.3 inches) reaches no-load speeds up to 12,000 RPM.

Both sanders feature variable speed control which allows you to choose the right sanding speed for your projects. Also included with both models are dust extraction ports to reduce the amount of sawdust in the air while you sand.

Additionally, both sanders offer two attachment systems for sandpaper. There’s a hook-and-loop system as well as clamps on either side, so you can use the sandpaper style you prefer.

We found the Trition orbital sheet sanders listed on a few online retailers, and Amazon has the best price right now. The 1/3 sheet sander runs $66.65 and the 1/4 sheet sander retails for $59.99. Both come with a soft carry case, 3 sanding sheets, the dust collection canister, and a punch plate.

Both at work and as a hobby, Noelle enjoys working on creative projects. When not at work, she loves spending time with her husband, pets, and friends.
