Affordable, durable and neutral seats that’ll suit most spaces
I’ve been searching for inexpensive dining room chairs for months. I semi-recently ordered a new table (the Transformer Table, read the review ) that is beautiful and modern, but my chairs had an antique look and feel. They didn’t match with the rest of my “dining room” (the portion of my condo with the table), so they needed to go immediately. Design Restaurant Chair

I was chairless and looking for an affordable, durable and neutral set to complement my modern and minimalist decor. I’ve seen these metal dining chairs on Amazon but didn’t trust the eRetailer’s furniture because I ordered this bed frame and found it very challenging to build. Cut to eight months later: I ordered the chairs; I love the chairs.
Product: FDW Metal Dining Chairs – Set of four Price: On sale for $134.99 (regularly $249.99) Where buy: Amazon
Why I love them: I appreciate simple, high-quality, utility furniture that I can enjoy for many years so I don’t have to shop for that piece ever again. Sometimes cost and quality are correlated and sometimes the price is just right. The FDW chairs are super simple, weather-resistant and easy to put together with a few twists of an Allen key.
Because they’re metal, I was concerned about how comfortable they would feel solo, so I also ordered chair pads . I’d recommend pairing the chairs with a set of pads if you plan on lounging around the table for long periods of time eating or chatting. These are great because they’re magnetic so they don’t slip.
The chairs aren’t the star of the show, they’re more supporting characters to the table (and the dried flowers on top of it, similar to these ). However, the chairs add a rocker-chic look to the modern jet-black table.
I also like the chairs because they can be used outside, they stack and come in many colours. You can also have fun mixing and matching chair and pad colours.
